This church has got to be the absolute most unfriendly one around. There is no spiritual leadership for their children’s programing anymore. No nursery, no children’s chapel. The pastor is nice, spiritual, but a very hard to understand accent so he is hard to understand at times.
I live about 1 block from this church, just moved here from Tennessee and saw their sign posted on the side of the road inviting people for snow cones. I gathered my multi-racial family composed of black, white, and Latino, and we headed to get snow cones. We got to the location where some church goers were and saw a small snow cone machine. Everyone was so excited, then we got out of our car and walked towards them they all looked shocked and confused that we we there. I was expecting because it was a church that we would at least be treated well or something but no welcomes were offered. We got our snow cones, sat down, and still no one said anything. So I decided to get up and approach them and said, "well since no one is going to say hello, I think I'll say hello to you guys." They looked even more shocked. They all shook my hand very reluctantly and nervous looking. I sat back down and ate my snow cone. The only one that said anything to us was the the lady handing the cones out. She seemed a bit nervous but I applaud her even trying to speak to us. As I then began to leave I walked over to that young lady and thanked her for the cones, then all others said bye to us. This was a horrible experience, not because racism exists but because this was a Christian church. That's why people don't visit churches. I get better greetings at an AA meeting. So sad that these folks claim to be Christians. I won't be going to that church. I hope the pastor reads this and talks to them about loving their neighbors. The weekday childcare (mothers day out) program is good and affordable. The values they teach are spot on. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is I would prefer an extra hour or 2 for the mothers day out program we are in. I know they offer more care options like extended care and all day care so maybe they do and I'm not aware. My wife deals with picking the kids programs and scheduling etc.

I am looking for a church since I moved back to Texas. I was welcomed and enjoyed the service today. The church had communion today and did not tell me that I could not have the Lord's supper. Thank you! Patricia Johnsgard
