We highly recommend Challenges Preschool and are incredibly grateful for our experience there. Our child attended for over a year (starting just after turning two), and this was their very first preschool. We chose this bilingual program so our child could develop Chinese language skills and also adapt to the new environment better. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we’ve made. The teachers are warm, patient, and genuinely caring, and Director Catherine is professional, dedicated, and deeply supportive. She even prepared a personalized booklet to help our child adjust at the beginning, which meant a lot to our family. The teachers provided tremendous emotional support while our child adapted to school life. One teacher, Ms. Jingyang, even visited our home with toys to help build familiarity and trust — an extraordinary gesture that showed how committed the staff is to each child’s well-being. We stayed for more than a year and truly did not want to leave. The only reason we left was because we moved to the South Bay. When our home remodeling was delayed, the director and teachers were incredibly accommodating and allowed us to extend our time multiple times, helping us achieve a smooth transition. We are deeply thankful and would wholeheartedly recommend this school to any family looking for a nurturing, high-quality bilingual preschool.

Challenge School Foster City is an exceptional daycare and preschool. We toured several highly rated schools in the area before choosing this one, and it has far exceeded our expectations. The facility is clean, safe, and well maintained, with a great playground where kids get to play outside every day. The teachers are so caring and loving - the whole school just radiates warmth and joy every time we step in. What we love most is how the school combines a thoughtful, well-balanced curriculum with tons of fun activities that help kids learn and grow - art, cleaning, gardening, touring a school bus, raising a butterfly: just to name a few. My son started here at 1.5 years old, and we’ve watched him blossom - learning to talk, socialize, play with others, and grow into a confident little person. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to send him here. If you live in the area, definitely don’t miss this school when looking for the best place for your child.

Last year, we toured several schools in the nearby districts. We wanted a Chinese school, clean and well-kept facilities, a well-designed curriculum, experienced and accredited teachers, safe neighborhood, easy parking, and school lunches. Challenge School in Foster City was the only one that had all we're looking for. When my daughter first started, she spoke only Cantonese; now, after 1 year, she speaks pretty good Mandarin and some English! We're very sad that she has outgrown the school but we know we very fond memories to look back to. Facilities: Very clean, well-kept, and has 2 separate and spacious playgrounds that divides the younger and older kids. They also have a small garden where kids to learn to care for plants. There is large parking lot right in front so drop-offs and pick-ups are very easy. Teachers: SO kind, gentle, patient, passionate, and genuinely cares about the children. They are all very experienced and have degrees/diplomas in early childhood education. At first, my daughter did not understand any Mandarin but the teachers who spoke Cantonese helped her settle in quickly. Curriculum: covers a wide range of topics like festivities, the seasons, natural habitats, traveling, animals and insects, etc. The teaching team never fails to be fun and creative. Activities: there are parties throughout the year, and they're so fun and meticulously-planned! We could tell that other families were very pleased as well. Food: lunch can be ordered for an additional cost. I tried a bit of what my daughter had it tasted pretty good! Healthy and no junk food! We really cannot thank the teaching team enough for giving my daughter such a wonderful first-time school experience. They keep kids safe, clean and happy. This school is truly a gem not to be missed out on!

We absolutely love Challenge preschool Foster City campus! The director was actually my older child’s teacher at another campus, so we already knew how amazing she is—super responsible, great at communicating, and truly dedicated to the kids. Under her leadership, the school has such a warm and positive atmosphere. The holiday events are especially impressive—so well-planned and thoughtfully executed, you can really see the effort put in from start to finish! The other teachers are just as wonderful—caring, patient, and always so kind. We get daily updates with photos and videos, which means so much as parents. It’s reassuring to see our child happy and engaged every day. Honestly, if we weren’t moving, we wouldn’t even think about leaving. This place is truly special!

I truly appreciate that my daughter joined Challenge in Foster City. The environment is wonderful, but most importantly, the teachers are absolutely the best. They are incredibly kind and full of love, taking such great care of the kids. They actively guide the little ones to participate in fun activities and daily life experiences, even helping them prepare small projects for their friends' birthdays. This program is highly recommended for young kids!
