Alexa'S Playc

Growing up is hard. Parenting is hard. And too often we do all the work of it by ourselves. Enrolling our child at Alexa’s PLAYC has been not only a life changing investment in his development but also an incredible way for us to grow as parents. We continue to value the expert input of both the highly qualified teachers on a daily basis and the insights of the invaluable admin team (all of whom take the time to have a personal relationship with our child). In addition, this program fully embraces autistic students in a way that helps all children grow. Students are taught to value each other’s ideas and unique perspectives. They are taught to help each other when things are hard. In other words, they are taught to be empathetic, kind, curious people even from the toddler years. While Alexa’s PLAYC much more affordable than many programs of its kind, my husband and I have joked that if we use up our college fund on preschool it will have been well worth it. We have only been a part of the program for two years, but has helped us begin to lay a very solid foundation for our son that we could not have built with any other program.

From day one, Alexa’s PlayC has been warm, inclusive, and full of heart. The staff and teachers create a space where our child is truly seen, supported, and embraced with patience and love. A big thank-you to his current Dolphins class teachers—Ms. Laura, Ms. Judy, Ms. Emily, and Ms. Amy! Even on tough days, he’s met with compassion, never judgment. Everyone knows him by name and greets him with a smile, creating a true sense of community. As our time here comes to an end, we couldn’t recommend Alexa’s PlayC more. We’re beyond grateful for this beautiful environment that makes our child feel so valued.

I can't even believe this place isn't reviewed yet. My son is a typical kid who attended here for preschool. The teachers are the best educated, loving, FUN people, the facilities are top notch and everything is incredibly designed to be educational and supportive. The autistic children they teach are so well cared for and nurtured that as a parent I couldn't tell who was "typical" and who was "at risk for ASD" - a phenomenal place indeed.

Very sad , hopefully you won't ever have to experience what I did today at Radys Caps over this weekend, horrible crew , cant say how bad but there are no actual psychologists there on the weekends, of course the true pros that know your child's circumstances don't work over the weekend so visitors and the patients experience a prison like environment with bad attitudes . For a mental section of a hospital im rating it a one star. Be careful with your children on the weekends here, they are more prone to sedation and more mistakes with no one to talk to who is compassionate. One nurse was was awesome and literally apologized for the behavior of the others, I was visiting and treated horrible as well. I brought lunch with napkins, they leave those behind and bring toilet paper towels instead. No higher consciousness there except the one who actually knew us, made me cry ( her compassion). Strangers working there on the weekends to avoid if possible, baby sitters only wanna be cops.
