They dont return phone calls. I work for a trucking company,, and I asked driver if he had his school transcripts, or diploma. This School finally reached back out to him after 3 weeks that it would take them 8-12 weeks for them to send the documents. What a joke. I refuse to take students from that school now.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. This institution is not interested in your success, only your money and enrollment. It's poorly managed, an over-reliance on policy without explanation, poor policy, sloppy problem-solving, and pure inattentiveness from administrative staff. NONE of the instructors look at the test they give you from the test bank they pull from and most have no idea what the curriculum even says (watch out for this in all core classes, its rampant). If you are attending for anything in the medical field they offer NO MEDICAL OR COMPUTATIONAL MATH courses. You just get to earn a credit in general college math and move on which will not help when taking the TEAS. Most everything on the website is not up to date and the IT/connectivity issues this school has is concerning.
I recently had a medical emergency and emailed my professors. They will not let me make up any of the assignments. Despite me having documentation, I wasn't allowed to turn in any late work because it wasn't emailed by the assignment "deadline" even though I sent emails before I received the documentation from the hospital. Very shameful.
This school has went down as far as customer service, they don’t answer the phone for you. They scheduled me to take the test and when I took off to take it at 1pm they told me late time was too late. They had me to take a number to be called but fail to mention that you had to sign in on a clip board to called to the back. The staff lazy won’t move or get off they cellphones to help you. They should wonder why people chose Albany State to attend.
I am giving this school a 1 star.. The only thing I loved about this whole experience was my instructor Mrs. Trina with the nail tech program.. Albany tech materials needs to be up to par, schools usually be about their students but this one is mainly about the money. I had to talk with someone in the registrar office on why I didn't receive My official graduation email and they had no freaking idea as to why I didn't receive it. My GPA is a 4.0 and I was told by someone in the registrar office on grad fest that I was considered for honor grad and was redirected to go to the business office to pay for a honor sash and I did just that, I picked up my cap and gown and received my sash from MS. Hawkins. Fast forward to the day before graduation a former student who was in my summer classmate asked me why I didn't come to the honor's day program well for 1 didn't receive not one email or call or nothing so I reaches out to the registrar office to speak with ms Hawkins on why I haven't received an email about the honor's day program, so I sent her an email and asked her about it, she responded that only students with degrees or diploma is eligible for honors. So when I responded back to her email she has not responded back to me and when I called to speak with the president no one will return my call. Pictures are included.. You say because I am in a certificate program I am ineligible for honors if that's the case why did you tell me I qualified and sent me to buy this sash I am wearing in my picture that I am including. Will I return to Albany tech for anything else? Absolutely not
