Akiba Academy Of Dallas

I'm glad to hear this is a great school. I hate to come here with a negative review, however, they really need to do something about the security and parents leaving the school once kids are picked up. I live in the apartments right next door. EVERYDAY, parents go to the exit and just sit there and blow the horn back to back awaiting the security guard to come open the gate for them to leave. I don't mean one hunk, multiple people hunking, long horns, anger horns, sitting on the horns DAILY trying to get the security guard to come open the gate. It's ridiculous. I work night shift so during the morning I'm trying to sleep. This is ridiculous. Not only that, I have a toddler that I try to keep sleep as well. It's a circus over there with this stuff DAILY. I'm sure I'm not the only person it bothers over here. My neighbor works from home and I'm sure it bothers her too probably. This is my only complaint. Please consider others. Please be kind enough to fix this issue for others nearby.

As I was reflecting on Rosh Hashanah about the positive changes in our lives this year, my preschoolers joining Akiba was near the top of the list. They love going to school in the morning and are very proud to show off their art projects and the songs they learned (often related to Jewish holidays). No question this was the right decision for them. In preschool, they get separate gym class, art class, music class, etc, and the teachers are very attentive and caring. They are joining their big sister, now in second grade at Akiba, who also loves the school.

A beautiful event from A to Z. if kids are a reflection of the education they have received over the past 8 years (and earlier), this is a certificate of excellence to our school. it was a warm (maybe a little too warm physically,,,:) and welcoming event. Thank you Akiba Academy for all you do for our kids and for the community as a whole.

Akiba is a school unlike any other. The teachers and principals are incredible and caring people who always are looking out for you. What they teach is not only very educational, but also they have taught me so much about how to successfully live my life with Torah and Judaics at the core. I have learned so much that will help me achieve my dreams and help me pull through the darkest of nights and forge the brightest of days. Some of the kids who attend Akiba may not realize the amazing life skills we have received throughout the years and focus on the negative aspects. I do not blame them because it is human nature. Hopefully, they will later realize everything that Akiba has taught us. Akiba might have some minor adjustments that need to be made, but so does every school. As a current 8th grader attending Akiba I could tell you school in general ain’t always fun, but at Akiba you experience such meaning and depth that you will become a better person and have a more successful life. -Zach Schwartz

What a wonderful place to go up. This is where I went to high school - the people really care. The teachers, faculty, etc, you won't find a more loving and caring bunch to Shepard your children to adulthood!
