We LOVE ALC!! Our daughter is nearly 4 and has been to two previous daycare/preschool centers (out of state). Never have I ever picked her up at the end of the day to hear her say, "No, mama, I want to stay just a little longer!" But that happens all of the time now. She clearly loves the school, staff, and teachers. The center is clean, decorated with the children's artwork, and her classroom is full of toys, art stations, reading nooks (and plenty of books), a dress-up area (with fun costumes), and there's even a fish the kids get to take care of. The outside playgrounds are just as well thought out, with plenty of fun structures and outdoor toys to play with. It's such a relief, as a parent, to know that when you're not with your child, they still feel safe, happy, and are getting their needs met. ALC is our girl's second home, and her dad and I feel so grateful.

I wanted to add yet another cautionary note about this daycare for parents of children with any sort of special needs. Please read the other reviews and complaints on Colorado Shines before sending your kiddo here. Our 3 year old did amazing in wiggle worms and loved his teacher, but he struggled when they bumped him up to frogs. We had just started his 6-month old brother in the infant room since things had previously been going so well. Anyways, we’d hear occasional complaints during pickup that he didn’t nap, that he “had a rough day”, etc., and then a few weeks after switching classes the director called up my wife out of the blue and told her our son was no longer welcome. We brought him by one last time to pick up his stuffy and give some good-bye cards to the teachers he really bonded with, and you could tell the director was incensed. I suspect they try to sweep these expulsions under the rug without too much fuss. She gave us quite the verbal lashing and ended up kicking out his 6-month old brother as well on the same day.

I don't recommend this daycare if your child has any kind of special need or isn't neurotypical. You can see from several reviews previous to mine that children with special needs are forced out of this daycare. We should have taken greater care to acknowledge those other views. We changed to this daycare because it was closer and we liked the idea of certain programs and the lunch offering. It was honestly one of the biggest mistakes we have made as parents to come here. Our son does have some sensory needs and was born prematurely, and they assured us that he would be okay there and they would be able to regulate his behavior. He joined the toddler room and his disruptive behaviors exploded. We tried all sorts of strategies and had extra professional supports and a treatment team they didn't give us a chance to solve it. One day about a month in they just pulled my wife aside and told her that our son was disenrolled. This was extremely sudden and we asked for extra time to find a new location. They granted us 2 weeks but then sent him home the first day due to behaviors. We ended up pulling him out the next day as it wasn't a supportive and encouraging environment any longer. We heavily regret switching here from our previous daycare. I think there was a lot this place could have done differently to support our child and in the end I don't recommend this daycare to anyone.

I have been using ALC for >2 years for my boys. We've had a wonderful experience there. The teachers are very experienced, great with the kids AND parents and combine lots of age appropriate fun with learning and appropriate discipline. They offer home made healthy meals and snacks which is incredibly helpful for me. Their hours are really convenient. They get the kids outside to play as much as possible. The management is great, very open to suggestions, communicate well and bend over backwards to help accommodate their families. There is teacher turnover there, which is a problem overall at day cares, but seems less at this center than others I've used. My older son was more than ready for kindergarten when he started.

My baby girl is in the infant room and she LOVES her teachers. She is so happy to go in every day. They serve good food, they taught her to wave and blow kisses. I love when they do arts and crafts and send me pictures. Overall very happy with how things are going!
