We have been attending for 1.5 years and have had a wonderful experience. Any closures are per Health Department rules due to illness. And they are far and few between. Teachers and friendly and enjoy their jobs. They are respectful to parents and children at their facility. Processes are changing and growing over time as this is a newer facility. And they work to make sure it is in the best interest of their staff and students. Daycares should not be determined by reviews so it is encouraged to visit a facility to find the best fit for your children.
Both of my children attend here and have for a year and a half. One started at 6 months old and the other at 6 weeks. I want to state that this is by far one of the most amazing daycares for your children to attend. They always look in the best interests of your kids and the staff. They had a few closures during the "Covid Era", but even since then they have had a director change. I love how excited my kiddos are to go to daycare. Please pop by and see the loving people here during a tour. It's like a mini family. <3
My son has been coming to BKA for almost 2 years- we love them! The teachers are always so good to my baby! He's learning something new everyday, it’s nice to be able to trust people with your child and not worry if they are in good hands. We love BKA!
This post is for anyone that needs a daycare not to attend: BERKELEY KIDS ACADEMY. If you want to be taken advantage of and have your hard earned money taken from you, by all means, contact them. They took down my post earlier to prevent the truth from being posted. We fortunately found a daycare for our child and have left that awful facility. So with that being said, I can now share our awful experience with them to other hard working parents! I would NOT enroll my child in this daycare again, and I mean ever!! I know a lot of mothers in the area. Before you think of doing so, please know that they will close down unexpectedly without a 24 hour notice! Not to mention they will force you to pay them, although it was their decision to shut down the facility for 2-3 days at a time, almost every single month. This happened just about every month while we had our daughter here! Parents shouldn’t have to forfeit their income to stay home, while still paying the daycare to keep their children. It is very unethical. If they are closed on days that are not listed in the handbook, it should be on them. It’s different if we choose to keep our child out, then we should still be held accountable. There is no communication from the owner or director, as I have messages where I was ignored. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE! Unless you want to pay them, for yourself to keep your kids, and call out of work several times a month. I do not want another family to have to deal with this! 🙌🏼 We have contacted the state of South Carolina about the facility as well.
