Abugida has a pre-k class through DISD with great programming and teachers. My niece goes to their free pre-k and then the after-school program. If she has to stay late, they even serve dinner! If you are looking for a great daycare with extended day program, look no further.
Not the best experience with this daycare. My daughter was in Ms.Gloria’s class. My daughter never bonded well with any of the teachers because the teachers were more partial to their culture and not “American” kids. That went for ALL of the teachers there. What was more worse than that, was seeing complete violation of state regulations - walked in quite a few times surprisingly to see my daughter sleeping in bouncers with her head positioned in a very uncomfortable way. It was very uncomfortable for me to see that. Had a confrontation with the owner who threatened to call CPS on me and abuse her power of authority because she wasn’t getting her way with a discussion her and I were having as I was verbally threatened by the toddler teacher there, who you could tell was an ex crack smoker. Owner didn’t do nothing to intervene. Owner might have competitive prices compared to other daycares, but you get what you pay. Definitely recommend looking elsewhere. This daycare is not what it appears to be if your child is not foreign.
My kids have never been put in daycare so I was very skeptical of any little thing . My kids have been there almost 2 months and they love it, all of the staff are always so welcoming. One thing for sure is that they have shown me they truly care about my kids education. It’s a really great experience for them and for me , I can feel safe when I’m at work. Despite a few incidents with explanations. This daycare has been awesome so far for my son. All of the staff are respectful and my son loves going everyday. I'm glad I have found something close to home and reasonably priced! I would highly recommend this childcare.
