Abiding Presence is a truly warm and welcoming family of faith which embodies their mission statement, "All are Welcome". The church offers multiple educational and musical opportunities for all ages year around. If you are interested in community outreach, this is also the place for you! Even during these pandemic times, the church has done an amazing job continuing to serve its members and broader community.

Abiding Presence Lutheran church can't be adequately represented on a website! It is an incredibly welcoming congregation, with a variety of dynamic and meaningful worship services (and online during heightened COVID), contemporary and traditional. There is even a Saturday eveningservice for those who can't work Sunday mornings into their schedules. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive as well. The church really does have something for everyone, from traditional Sunday School to a variety of children, youth, young adult and adult programs and ministries (like book studies and small groups), many outreach volunteer opportunities, and lots of different fellowship/social opportunities that are really fun and engaging. My favorite thing about this church is the unbelievable music during services and the many music ministries that include children and youth choirs, adult choirs, hand bell choir, and a contemporary worship group. The sincere connection to God's Word and the music drew us to the congregation, but the people and staff are why we joined and have been members for many years.

Abiding Presence truly lives their motto - A place of Grace, All are Welcome! Just the right size (not too big not too small) to get to know people and plug in where your talents/passions fit. The staff has been extremely warm and caring to me and my family. If you are looking for a church home, you will be welcomed here.

When I moved with my family from California in 2015, we immediately began searching for a church home. We visited several area churches and never felt quite welcomed, even after multiple visits. That all changed when we found APLC. It was an accident, like most great things - my father got lost driving down San Pedro and stumbled upon the church. From the minute we walked up to the doors, we were greeted so warmly - first, by Pastor Steve and then after service by the welcome team (yes we have those!) We were instantly home. That’s what this place is for us, a home filled with love, support, and encouragement, all wrapped up in God’s abiding word. I came with small children in tow, and they weren’t frowned upon but rather gathered up and nurtured by the congregation who loved them. I really can’t say enough about these people - their kindness, willingness to help and serve, their love. Church is more than the building. It’s a place to grow and you will thrive here. Come and see. We’ll hold the doors for you with smiles.

A centrally located campus at 281 and Oak Shadows (Hollywood Park) The vision and mission of this church is “A place of grace, where all are welcome”. And this is lived out in all that they do. We joined because we felt welcomed and felt a strong sense of Christ from the members and excellent staff. Worship is currently virtual, but even so it is a lovely mixture of music, scripture, preaching in the Lutheran tradition. The church has a highly rated pre school on campus and many opportunities for members to find their niche. There is a dedicated effort in faith formation and youth ministry for those growing in faith. The church’s outreach efforts that take place are APLCs way to take Christ out into the community.
