Participated in the Henderson volleyball tournament over the weekend. This recreation center was great, A/C was set perfectly and volleyball courts were nicely finished / good nets. Bathrooms were well stocked and the eating area was clean. Staff helpful and friendly.
Nice venue for senior table tennis tournament. The facility is air-conditioned; good for 12 tables and still has enough space for bleachers and chairs.

I’ve loved this center for 3 years, but now I’m done. This isn’t the first time and I’m sure many will hear it again. They are the ones who handle Safekey matters, but none of the staff knows anything regarding it. Yesterday I desperately needed to edit my emergency pick up person because today I cannot be there.. The first kid who answered had absolutely no idea what I was talking about so I asked to speak to the supervisor because this has happened before so I knew they’re the ones I needed to talk to. Not to mention Safekey themselves had just told me 2 mins prior at pick up. The supervisor insisted they don’t help with that and when I explain this isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with staff not being familiar with Safekey, but this is my kid that I need picked up, please ask someone else and make sure the team is being trained properly, our children being picked up isn’t a joke- SHE HUNG UP ON ME. I am done. I can’t even believe the audacity. If I don’t get my emergency contact situated, they won’t release him and will call the police classifying him as abandoned so really to hang up on me when I’m trying to use the services they offer!? I’m beyond upset. All 3 years of wonderful service down the drain. Like I said, this has happened before and I’ve always overlooked it- I’ll never overlook being hung up on when addressing the safety of my kid. Do better. Train your staff and understand these are OUR BABIES. I’m baffled. I pay for services and are they watching my kid, absolutely- the at school safekey people are literally the best. The staff at VVRC- THEY REQUIRE TRAINING. I’m going up with this, she hung up on the WRONG ONE.
The facility is beautiful and spacious. Seems well maintained and clean. Staff is friendly and very helpful. The pool is in a different building, something to keep in mind for the colder months.
