What Parents Say
ABC & 123 receives overwhelmingly positive reviews praising staff friendliness, engagement with children, daily communication, and educational activities. However, two recent negative reviews cite serious concerns including alleged child abuse, high teacher turnover, poor health/safety communication regarding illness outbreaks, and dismissive management.
My daughter is 2 years old and started going to this daycare earlier this year. The staff is always so friendly and greets her with a smile. I got to volunteer as a reader the other day in her class and the children had so much fun. Parent involvement is so important to me. I like that I get updates on the playground app throughout the day. Her teacher is great about communicating with me, if I have any concerns. Overall, I am very pleased with her care.
I would avoid this daycare.. high turnover rates amongst the teachers. It’s appalling how the director speaks to her paying customers and employees. Cameras are never working so you can’t obtain footage of the child abuse. This daycare severely lacks communication. My child came home with injuries from the director. I wasn’t notified until pick up… Keep your kids safe and don’t bring them here! Edit: I have added the photos from CPS investigation & Texas child care inspection report
I understand how hard it is to find a daycare—not just any daycare, but one where you feel comfortable leaving your baby every day. While the price is reasonable and the meals provided are amazing, unfortunately, that’s where the positives end for me. From day one, I did not feel welcomed by most of the staff. Clair, in particular, carried an attitude that made drop-offs uncomfortable, and the overall atmosphere didn’t feel warm or inviting. When it comes to the health and safety of the children, I was extremely disappointed. Yes, kids get sick—it’s part of daycare life—but the lack of communication is unacceptable. I would drop my baby off and see other little ones in her class with thick green snot running down their faces, which directly goes against their own handbook policy. My breaking point came when my baby was admitted to the hospital due to complications from COVID. I work from home, we don't really go anywhere let alone baby was only one who got sick! When I asked if parents in the baby or toddler room were informed so they are aware of another kiddo testing positive, I was told they had been. Yet, I confirmed with two friends who also take their children there that they never received any notice. That’s not just poor communication—that’s dishonest and dangerous. It’s truly a shame because there are a few bright spots. Alyson, D, April, and Alicia were wonderful with my child and made her feel safe and cared for. But it’s not enough to outweigh the lack of transparency, poor leadership, and cold environment. I truly hope this location reevaluates how it communicates with parents and how it supports its families—especially when it comes to health and basic human decency.
I have four children and this is the first time I’ve had to use a childcare center. I was terrified of leaving my 3 month old with strangers but the staff here has made this experience wonderful. My son smiles every time we drop him off. He is learning so much and I can tell how much he enjoys going there. I get daily pictures and updates. Mrs. D, Beatriz, and Charity have been God sent and we are forever grateful with the wonderful care they have provided to my son. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for childcare.
I have 2 kids here and I can't think of a better place. They're amazing. I pop in at the weirdest times and I've never seen an idle staff member. They're always engaged with the kids or preparing for the kids. One time my baby was the last in the baby room and the teacher was taking her for a tour of the school, I walked up to her holding her up to look at pictures on the wall. Another time I walked in and the babies were being posed for a surprise Valentine's photoshoot. They clearly use their curriculum with fidelity too, my kids come home knowing so much. I could keep going on forever, they're worth the world to us ❤️
