What Parents Say
ABBA Christian Child Care receives mixed reviews with ratings ranging from 1-5 stars. Positive reviews praise the teachers' friendliness, communication, and activities, while negative reviews cite serious concerns about the director's management style, hygiene standards, and child safety incidents.
My daughter has been attending here for several months now and we have been very happy with our experience! She is always excited to come, and we have been very impressed with the amount of communication from her teacher, from sending us pictures to giving us all of the details about her day. Her main teacher and the before and after school teachers are great and she is always excited to see them. I am also impressed by the amount of activities she gets to do in class every day for her age! To address the previous review- no, children are not allowed to come in sick, they are most definitely sent home. Your experience having a child in childcare may be limited, because no matter where they go, they will get sick- that's how their immune systems are built. As a teacher, I know that kids getting sick often is an unfortunate reality of them being in a group setting (either day care, or later in school). Just like diaper rash at times is the reality of being a kid in diapers- my child probably gets changed more frequently at ABBA than she does at home most times! They have always done a good job communicating when there has been illness at the center, and what the standards for children returning after being sick are. All in all we have had a great experience, and I would definitely recommend it.
Director is awful. She come in to help "watch" the kids but is too obese to even bend down to pick up a babies off the floor. I thought being part of a church the care would be better. My son was always sick because they would allow people to bring sick kids in. They swore they changed him every two hours but his butt was raw to the point of bleeding. One day he was one of two kids in the room he was five months the other child 13months. She bit his face, he had a full set of teeth marks and was bleeding. They didn't even apologize. The day I gave my notice we were leaving we had a lice notice. Def a sign never to go back.
Honestly doesn't seem like the children are wanted there. My child dreaded going to daycare every day and was mistreated by other kids and staff alike. There were a few staff members that made it bearable, but the rest including the director had no kindness towards anyone at times and it was very hard to want open communication with people who made parents and children alike uncomfortable and miserable.
Replace the director and it would a decent place, Doesn't seem she doesnt enjoy kids.
Love the teachers, hardworking and very friendly.
