What Parents Say
A Sunny Start Preschool has three 5-star reviews praising caring teachers, clean environment, and child development, but one 1-star review details serious concerns about unsupervised childcare, broken contract promises, deposit withholding, and inconsistent hours. Parents should carefully review contracts and verify staffing arrangements.
My daughter has been going to this daycare. It is a wonderful daycare and Anna is great taking care of the kids! She is loving and she teaches all children the important skills for each age. The child has great time staying at Anna’s place and she grew very well under her care. I high recommend this day care.
My daughter is going to A Sunny Start Daycare for 1 year now.I can’t say enough positive things about the daycare. The teachers are caring and compassionate, and they encourage kids to be independent . They are friendly, loving and patient. The environment is beautiful and clean. We truly feel we have made the best decision. I will definitely recommend A Sunny Start Daycare to my friends and family.
I have my child at A Sunny Start Daycare for more than a year now. A lot of positive things about the daycare and the people. They are loving, friendly and patient. The environment is clean and beautiful. I feel I have made a great choice and I will definitely recommend.
My daughter went there for almost a year and I had to break the contract later once I found out my child was left with family/ friend members while teacher Ms. Anna wasn’t present. I requested that I don’t want my child to be around with anyone else except her ( teacher). She always promised won’t happen again. However, I had to pop in to double check random hours & noticed she’s not at home (to clarify it’s a private daycare/ she lives there as well). Her mom ( which doesn’t speak any English) at home and my daughter can communicate only in English. I saw my child’s face when I picked up from other family members she seems scared/ not happy when Ms. Anna wasn’t around. We had a multiple conversation regarding same issue. After few times I had no choice except to withdraw my child. I mentioned to her that I don’t want my child to be left with other members of household she didn’t take an action only promises. One day, I was outside waited for her… she came back after 3 hours. I was mad and told her that my daughter no longer will come. When I asked about my deposit back she said she’ll not return it because I break the contract. At this point, I don’t care about money since my child safety comes first. I told her I’ll speak to my lawyer regarding this issue. Afterwards she texted me that everyone in her household went through a fingerprinting and background check so it’s legal. It made me feel even worse. I asked how come you didn’t tell me from the beginning. I would never bring my child here. She says what google stands for do your research it’s not my responsibility to tell you. I usually never post reviews but this time I took my time since kids our blessings and hopefully some parents will find it helpful. I’m sure she won’t include it in her contract either otherwise nobody agrees. Also, we made a contract regarding hours 8-6 meanwhile she’s never present at 8 reason why she has to give a ride to her daughter. Same thing when it comes in afternoon picking up her daughter & doing errands etc. We paid for 10 hours but all the time we used up to 8 always she asked me to pick her up early. I went through a lot so hopefully it doesn’t happen to anyone else. I already explained everything to my lawyer will take action against this daycare. I believe parents wish comes first and she acted unprofessional as a teacher. When my daughter went there only 2 kids (including my child)she was taking care of. She always asked me to recommend her when we go to playgrounds and stuff. I always spoke really high about her now I regret. She also goes to schools where they don’t provide services to kids under 3 and ask to give out her flier's away and recommend her. She charges $1750 per child under 3 just so you know. I paid $1500 because I provided lunch/ snacks and asked for a discount. Anyways, I DON’T RECOMMEND TO NO ONE this daycare. I went through a lot so I hope detail explanation will help out parents out there. My recommendation ask plenty questions when it comes to contract and triple check rules.
