A Step Ahead Learning Center

Love love love Ms.Sheffield! I was skeptical as a first time parent, when it was time for my daughter to be moved to the toddler room. She assured me my daughter was in good hands. She is very attentive and has great communication with me as a parent (which I love)! Definitely wish she copied Move to every class with us.

I hate that I have to give this school a bad review because I really did like it when my son first started. 4 weeks in and my son has caught Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease. That’s not the problem though, the problem is they knew about the HFM case they had in the school and didn’t make anyone aware of it. That’s unacceptable. Usually daycares are suppose to send out notices making parents aware that there has been a case of Hand foot and mouth or any other viruses or diseases. Their communication sucks. Had I known a student even step foot in the center with HFM disease I would’ve kept my son home. Now I’m having to take time off work because lack of communication. I will be reporting this center to the state.

I’ve been with Cedars Preschool at Rex for over two years, and it has been a truly positive experience for my entire family. My daughter started here when she was just one year old — she’s now three — and my son began as an infant and is currently one. Before enrolling at Cedars, I had tried three other centers that unfortunately didn’t meet our needs. From the moment we joined Cedars at Rex, I felt a sense of relief and reassurance. We were welcomed warmly and consistently greeted with friendly faces and genuine conversation. As a very involved parent, I’ve found the staff to be incredibly accommodating and responsive to both my needs and my children’s. The Center Director, Mrs. Wyatt, has been absolutely wonderful. She has addressed any concerns I’ve had with care and professionalism, and both of my children adore her. It’s clear that the environment at Cedars is one where children can truly grow, learn, and thrive. I’m so grateful to have found a preschool where my children are not only safe but also happy and nurtured. Thank you to Mrs. Wyatt and the entire Cedars team — our family appreciates you more than words can express. If you're looking for a preschool with dedicated staff, strong leadership, and a warm, supportive atmosphere, I highly recommend Cedars at Rex.

Ms. Latrice is the backbone of Cedars Preschool. She is an amazing teacher whose patience, kindness, and dedication help every child feel safe, loved, and excited to learn. Her warm heart and genuine care make her one of the best teachers and a true blessing to the school

My girls are loving their school! Every day they come home excited to tell me about what they did that day. I feel like my two year olds vocab is exploding since we started and she is talking more and more. My 4 year old enjoys the playground and tells me about her day. The ratios are excellent and I feel like my children are well taken care of. We recently had our fall festival and my girls had so much fun! It was such a fun community event meeting other children’s parents and spending time all together!! We’re so happy to bee apart of Cedars Preschool!
