Toured this location, and it felt very disorganized. The teacher for the toddlers was lying barefoot in the room; they had her give the "tour," and she continued to walk around barefoot. Just gross. Keep your shoes, or at least socks.

My son has learned SO much since he's been there. He is 4 years old and he is constantly blowing my mind with the things he knows about. He has always been behind in his fine motor skills and he is now painting inside lines drawing good circles even writing his name! They are always doing cool things like bringing in pets and people from the zoo, hatching chic eggs, there's just always something cool happening there. Thank you a step above for the care and time you put into your children. There are things I could complain about but you guys give us what's most important. Five stars without a second thought

My wife and I recently toured the Bonner Springs location and were very disappointed with the cleanliness and the security. The floors in the hallways were disgusting with obvious water damage. The rubber covers on the steps were loose and dangerous. There were so many dead bugs in the light fixtures. They were using a rocking chair as a safety gate for the kids. You can just walk right into the building and into any classroom without any secure access. We were also told they had availability for our child before visiting and that they would save our spot until we came in to tour. Then the director said we would have to wait until January to find out the availability for our baby. Overall this daycare is ran poorly and needs some major work.

The post previously posted under MY name was a false review. IT WAS NOT ME. It most likely posted by a disgruntled former employee. My daughter's attended A Step Above for almost 2 years and I never had any issues. The facility was well maintained, clean and the staff treated my children like they were there own. I do not now or have ever had any complaints against this child care center. It is disheartening that someone would create a fake email account in order to leave such a hideous review under someone else's name. Again, A Step Above is a wonderful daycare and I would recommend them to anyone who needed childcare. _The real Shelby Lindsay did not make the previous review.

The center is very dirty!! The yelling from teachers that you hear just from walking in the door is insane! I would not even give this place one star but I have no other option.
