⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect Start Learning Center has been a wonderful experience for our family! The facility is always so clean, bright, and well-organized, which gave us immediate peace of mind from day one. The environment is warm and welcoming, and you can tell the staff truly care about the children. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly professional, kind, and attentive, making the transition into daycare smooth and stress-free. My son always came home happy and excited to return the next day, which says it all! We’re truly grateful for the love and care he received during his time there. Thank you to Connie and the entire team at Perfect Start you really live up to your name!
My child has been attending this daycare for over a year. The staff are always welcoming, and each of them knows your child’s name. I have seen my child grow into his personality and make friends while being at school. I love the learning material, educational activities, and basic life skills they teach him. They give updates and send pictures throughout the day of your child’s progress through the Procare app. I also like the yearly activities and festivities that include the families. I highly recommend this daycare for a first-time parent.
This place is AWESOME! My child has been going here for a few years now and has learned so much at this daycare. She's so prepared for kindergarten! Connie the director is WONDERFUL and the whole team at Perfect Start Learning Center are just so sweet and are AMAZING people. My daughter loves it there and always looks forward in getting up the next morning to go to PSLC and must I add the prices are very reasonable. I'm so happy I chose this daycare for my daughter
I could write a book about how awful these people are, but I'll limit it to a few key points I think other parents should know. 1. Lazy/Incompetent Staff: Watching their phones more than watching the kids, SLEEPING on the job, not knowing how to properly use a thermometer (really, I wish I was making that up), and not knowing what mosquito bites look like (how do you live in Alabama and not know this!?!) 2. Unsafe for kids: This includes the previously mentioned distracted/sleeping staff problem, but also just basic security measures like using doorknob protectors or latches to keep young children from opening doors. Apparently, cheap hardware solutions from Home Depot are just too advanced of a technology for these people to utilize. 3. Unprofessional Management: The manager/director of this place is the most unprofessional and disrespectful person I've ever met in a professional setting. She'd get fired from a fast-food restaurant for how she treated us, so how she's employed here is astounding. She lied to us repeatedly about how our child was being cared for, and she has this strange idea that the parents work them, not the other way around. 4. Dishonest: This last point is small compared to the others, but I mention it because it speaks to their lack of honesty. I don't know what their weekly tuition rate is now, but expect to pay more. They LOVE adding fees, asking donations, and looking for every petty way to nickel and dime parents. The funniest example I can think of was when they added a mandatory $30 fee to all parents' weekly tuition for their "staff appreciation week". I don't know what type of places you've worked, but every time I ever received an employee bonus, it would come from the management/owners, NOT the customers. I could go on, but I hope this paints a good picture. I don't like leaving negative reviews; I love supporting small businesses, especially businesses in my community, but I'll never forget how horrible these people were to my family. My child has been in a new daycare since we pulled him from APSLC, and we haven't had any of these problems since. If you're looking for a safe place where you can trust that your child will be happy and healthy, stay away from here.
The daily activities are engaging, educational, and perfectly suited to each age group. Our child comes home every day excited to tell us about what they learned and the friends they played with. We’ve also noticed great progress in their social and language skills since joining.
