Our son participated in the summer camp program this year at ACU. It was a great experience for him he truly enjoyed going every day. He made new friends and his teachers and the director were super nice. The place is very well kept and very clean. we felt that our son was safe & being taken great care of. We recomand ACU.
We have been with A Child’s University (Smithfield) since 2014. Both of my children graduated from here. All the teachers, the nurse (Anita) and the director (Lori) have been absolutely phenomenal. We have been extremely happy with the care, support, attention, and the various enrichment programs that our children received over the years. Our children also completed their accredited Kindergarten program, which prepared them emotionally, socially, and academically. We are now looking forward to our newborn going through the same wonderful experience. Thank you A Child’s University for loving and caring for our children.
Our son has attended ACU at Smithfield first as an infant and then as a young toddler. Unfortunately we had to move to another state recently so our amazing experience had to end. The director Lori and her team create a very welcoming and high quality environment both for the children and their families. Things we loved the most (not limited to): - ACU has very detailed and comprehensive policies that are fully in place. - Teacher to student ratio is higher than required by the state. - Lead teachers are very experienced. While they customize each child's growth plan and the curriculum for the class, they also help assistant teachers grow. - There is a very experienced in house nurse who makes sure children stay healthy, they are up to date with their immunization and the parents are educated. As new parents who work full time, ACU has been the biggest support for our family. They took such good care of our son and answered our every single question very patiently. We are very thankful that we got to experience the ACU culture. Now we know what a great pre-school education looks like and we do not settle for less.
We spent 12 years at this daycare between 3 kids. A Child’s University is very warm and welcoming with excellent care providers. I spent many years working in Boston knowing my babies were in excellent care. A bonus perk is they have an accredited Kindergarten program that 2 of my 3 kids completed, making them well prepared for their transition to public school. The staff is very professional and I highly recommend this daycare.
ACU was a place that made us feel like we were all apart of one team and family. We had a bad experience at another center and ACU did such a great job listening and caring for our child. They made us feel heard, safe and comfortable. My son loved walking in there daily and felt that he was cared for by many people. The center is super clean and has a peaceful vibe you feel right away when walking through the front door. Lori the director and Melanie the ast director strive to make the center a welcoming place for every family, child and staff member. There are many events where families are invited into the center and their child’s classrooms which was great being able to see what my little one was working on and to see him in his school environment. He made so much progress while he was there. They actually follow a curriculum and the teachers take so much pride in teaching the littles. I would highly recommend ACU to anyone looking for a center for their child.
