Parents report their children thrive academically and socially, with strong communication and accessibility through daily updates and classroom cameras. The center is noted for its inclusive environment and willingness to support children with special needs.
Our family had children at ACU for a three years across 4 classrooms. We absolutely loved ACU- the teachers are top notch and love the children so well. We always felt like our children were safe and well cared for, and we loved the communication and pictures throughout the day and the ability to check in on them if needed on the cameras. The teachers and students became like family to us, couldn’t recommend ACU enough! Only word of caution is to get on the wait list as early as possible as we did struggle to get the schedules we wanted for our kids due to such high demand.
We value education highly. Having worked in various childcare facilities—some excellent, others not so much—I’ve always judged programs by the strength of their curriculum and the passion of their educators. Without dedicated teachers, centers wouldn’t thrive. Common sense right? Not for many places we have visited. It was hard to find what I was looking for until I discovered A Child’s University. Honestly, as a parent of a Black child, I was initially concerned about representation after seeing few diverse faces online. When I went in, my concerns really did go away.. The educators were wonderful with my child—Ms. Jess provided the perfect introduction, followed by incredible growth in kindergarten with Ms. Lia, Ms. Yashi, and later Ms. Elizabeth. Many others teacher there reinforced that we had found the right place. The science projects, art exhibits, and self-portraits—highlighting both differences and similarities—further supported the representation and inclusivity I was seeking. The clean environment was amazing, and security was top-notch.... a bonus: there was parent sign-in codes and at-home camera access for families. Living in this society has made me such a worrisome parent, but I eventually stopped checking the cameras because I knew how safe and well cared for my child was. Which is a HUGE DEAL! We will truly miss it here—it has been everything a “Child’s University” should be. Open up a k-12 y'all! God bless your center, Happy parent
A Child's University is a special place - from top down, they exceed all expectations. The director puts so much thought into every component of the curriculum and everything they do is done extremely well. My older son attended ACU during covid and his education didn't skip a beat, he learned to read in his first semester of kindergarten even amongst the most challenging of situations in the world. My younger son has learned invaluable skills there such as how to care for animals, tend to a garden and how to overcome challenging situations. In addition to the amazing and caring staff, the facility is spotless and they are dedicated to having nothing but the best there for the kids. Additionally, they put on multiple amazing events throughout the year to celebrate holidays and special occasions including Earth Day festivities, Mothers and Fathers day festivities, art galleries of the kids work, and an absolutely incredible end of year show. They are top notch in every aspect of education and helping to develop wonderful well-rounded children!
Our experience with A Child's University has been nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we enrolled our son, the staff were obviously well educated and trained in child development and early education. The curriculum is entertaining, playful, advanced, highly appropriate for each developmental level and inclusive of social/emotional learning. The teachers and assistants are incredibly caring and have formed a special bond with our child. Their dedication goes beyond the classroom, as they genuinely love and want the best for him. Our family was also enrolled when our child was beginning to show signs of some behavioral concerns. The whole team took a proactive and empathetic approach to his unique needs. When challenges arose, they didn't label him as a difficult child. Instead, they encouraged us to have him appropriately evaluated and were patient while we got him help. They worked tirelessly with us and his care team to dig deeper and figure out why he was having specific troubles, ensure he received the appropriate medical care, support and treatment. Kelli, the director, has been a true advocate for our son. She moved mountains to accommodate his educational needs, often at what I'm sure was great expense to the school. Her efforts included working with an expert to train the staff in special education and behavioral techniques, purchasing specialized materials, reorganizing the classroom, and providing nearly 1:1 staffing when needed. At the same time, she ensured the rest of the classroom continued to function well and that he could participate with the group when he was able to do so. We are and will forever be immensely grateful for the unwavering support and commitment from everyone at A Child's University. They have created a nurturing and inclusive environment where our son can thrive. We cannot recommend them enough to any parent seeking a dedicated and compassionate preschool for their child.
A Child's University is a wonderful preschool full of kind and engaging teachers! My daughter attended the school for 2 years and her experience was wonderful. There was also excellent communication from her teachers and the director and the curriculum did a great job preparing her to start Kindergarten. I would recommend ACU without hesitation.
