Very unorganized and unprofessional. My child had been going to A BIG KIDS PLACE for 2 weeks and their policy is copays are due on the 1st of the month so the 1 of September in Labor Day so I need to pay Friday before which is fine but I was told that my child could not stay because I couldn't pay it when I dropped her off because I left my purse at home rushing to get her there at 7 because it was a problem with the time I was getting her there too cause she wasn't getting breakfast even tho I was told to get her there a 7 and she would get breakfast. I have to pick her up so I could have paid then or I could have called back up there and paid over the phone because its still FRIDAY but there was no other options which I had to take my child back with me and be late for work. Then I called one of the directors Mrs Rena and she gave me attitude and was very rude and unprofessional and started yelling on the phone and told me "quiet" after she kept interrupting me like I'm a child. Also told me it's not personal but there's several parents who don't pay but you still take their children to school and her sister Aquafina is who told me my child couldn't stay oh and ps... made parents sign a notice saying that if the school doesn't let your child out on time they will be left. The ladies are old and grumpy

Unorganized, terrible communication and lack of awareness. Unfortunately, I had to pull my child from this facility after transitioning from the daycare side to the daycamp. My child attended the daycare from 2 through 5 yrs old which was an exceptional experience despite the high turnover rate and some one off situations that I have looked past, to say the least….Since my child is now 6 yrs old I decided to enroll him in the “Big Kids Place” ,which is next door, for summer camp. The first occurrence is being told the drop off would be at another location only to find it was a miscommunication that caused me to be late for work. Second occurrence, my child became ill due to the staff taking him out to play in water in his clothing and bringing him back into the air conditioned space. Upon pick up he was damp all over and I expressed to the staff member that I did not want him going to play in water in his regular clothing. Had I known I would have brought his swim clothes and the staff member said verbatim “I almost told you I don’t care” and laughed. My child is asthmatic and when he comes down with a cold it’s 2X recovery time and very rough on him so I don’t take it lightly. Final occurrence, my child is taken out for swim day and his shorts become missing. I attempt to reach out to express my concerns and seek out console and I was told by the owner that the facility is called “A Big Kids Place” for a reason hence my child should have been able to keep up with his belongings and it is really our fault as parents not instructing him to keep up with his belongings and that the staff cannot keep their eyes on everything. Again, my child is 6 years old, responsibilities are still a work in progress at this age. To be told that it’s my fault is highly unprofessional especially coming from the owner. This is a family owned business and often times it didn’t feel like everyone was on the same page as far as communication and it starts from the top. I’m highly disappointed with the service and the fact that I can’t express a concern regarding my child without being talked over and hung up on after patronizing for years.

We joined A Child's Place with our first child in 2021 and now both of our babies are there (2024). I love that they post in the app, as a helicopter mom, and have actual lesson plans and activities to keep them learning at home. The partnership that we have built is awesome, you respect them and they will respect you. The teachers are friendly and knowledgeable. No where is perfect but for me they are close to it in this day and age of trying to find a reliable daycare where you feel your children are safe.

I’m in total awe! My babies have been a part of this daycare program since November. The good side is my two daughters have been resilient with learning and potty training. Already very smart little girls. The downside of it is the team of women are severely unprofessional. They lack business etiquette and communication to their parents. As black women, you should not beat another young women down due to what you lack as a woman. If there was a problem with how you feel towards a parent, you should not have allowed my children to continue the program. The director Ms Conway wrongfully reported me for neglect and abuse to dcfs. My four year old daughter that they filed the report for has sickle cell and she randomly has joint pain and bruises. Its unacceptable. To add to it, my four year old daughter has came home saying that Ms Diana has pinched her arm at least three times. Today, May 21st, my kids were put out of the program for no reason. They were paid for the entire month, so why did Ms Diana force today being their last day? Just to inform the general public, do not take your children or grandchildren there because they are confused and lack a business state of mind.

If you’re looking for a reliable, trustworthy and a clean daycare with structure, for your family I highly recommend a child place academy. The teachers are nice & professional They always are on the go with field trips and different types of activities for your child not even to mention, they have an app that you can check on your own that is uploaded daily The location is very nice right across the street from a park & public transportation. Spirit weeks are the best and my son is always happy ❤️
