I grew up in this church and my family members continue to attend there. I went to a service recently and was pleasantly surprised at how the church had evolved over the years. It seems to be more open and welcoming, the minister is gracious and warm, as is his wife, and the church seems to have a broader, more global view. Highly recommended.
These are wonderful, welcoming people. They support the Community Meal organization which is a great ministry. A long time ago, in the 1950's, the late Helen Keener and her husband started the preschool with their own money. May God continue to bless First Methodist in Palatine as they bless Palatine with their efforts.
the interior is beautiful there a long troop 209 boys scouts to go in the basement and use that as their headquarters just very nice
