What Parents Say
1ST INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY is highly rated by parents, particularly those with Korean-speaking families. Parents praise the cleanliness, bilingual Korean-English curriculum, nutritious Korean meals, caring staff, and enriching activities like taekwondo and traditional games.
My baby girl is 20 months old, and I decided to send her to daycare because I was getting really exhausted. I searched a lot, but most daycares in the U.S. let kids walk around with their shoes on, which made me feel uneasy about hygiene. This place, however, is so clean! The children don’t wear shoes indoors, and they even serve Korean food for lunch. My daughter is very shy around strangers, so I was really worried at first. But starting from the third day, she happily waved goodbye to me when I dropped her off—I was so surprised! All the teachers and the director are incredibly sweet and treat her with such love and care. It’s been about a month and a half now, and she absolutely loves going to daycare. Seeing her so happy makes me happy, too. Thank you so much to all the teachers for being so kind, sweet, and caring with the little ones!
This is the perfect place for your child. Korean babies especially will love it, as there is no other place where they can experience fresh, traditional Korean food every day. Children will learn to speak both Korean and English. I was surprised that my son could recognize English letters even though I had never taught him any. All of the teachers are loving and caring, and they take great care of the children. My son has learned how to organize his own belongings. He enjoys going to daycare.
Two of my children have been attending My Sprouts for over a year and I would recommend! Not only do they learn Korean and eat Korean food (my kids don’t eat anything else), they get exposure to a variety of activities that I firmly believe develops their brain. The Director (Ms Yuna) brings in Taekwondo, Go (바둑), baking, and other teachers that do activities that my kids talk about for a long time. They send pictures of the food they eat every day and it is always well balanced with the right food groups. They send pictures and messages in the app everyday and most of all, all of the teachers are so so kind and takes care of your kid like their own. They’re usually the first to ask for solutions to help with their eczema, constipation, teething, etc. we are blessed to have them near us!!
The ownership changed almost 2 years ago. I originally planned to move to other daycare, but after the change, this daycare became a perfect Korean academy for all Korean-english kids. My toddler loves his teachers. They're warm and well organized. Teaching curriculums is awesome. Can't find any cons. Highly highly recommended
There has been a change in ownership/management, and we couldn't be happier with the transition. These are some of the benefits we love: - Nutritious meals (weekly menu of Korean dishes) - Bilingual exposure (Korean & English) - Reduced screen time and more hands-on activities - Flexibility when "life" happens
